Our 15 hour introductory (Wednesday) evening footstool course includes: An introduction to traditional upholstery, building up a traditional ‘Stitch & Stuffed’ seat pad through to top cover completion. In the process students will learn a wide range of techniques including:
Stretching Webbing
Fixing with tacks
Attaching hessian
Stuffing
Traditional Upholstery Stitching
Folding around corners and legs
Material / top fabric considerations

Location. The course takes place at our studio workshop, where you will have the use of all the correct tools for the job, including a brand new footstool frame. All you need is 1 meter of top cover fabric, although this can be purchased from us during the course.
Our Address: The Old Workshop, Home Farm Business Centre, Minety, Malmesbury, SN16 9PL.
Duration. The course is delivered in 2.5 hour evening sessions (1800-2030hrs), every Wednesday evening, over a 6 week period.
Refreshments. Refreshments in the form of tea, coffee, soft drinks and fresh cakes will be provided.
Attendance. The maximum number who can attend each course is limited to 6 students. This ensures the highest possible level of teacher to student ratios.
Tutor. The primary Tutor will be our founder, Petra Gadsby.
Cancellation Policy. The course is fully refundable up to 14 days prior to the start date. There will be a £50 charge for cancellations thereafter.
COVID-19. Safety measures will be in place throughout. Including face masks, social distancing, gloves and alcohol gel available at all times. Please feel free to bring along your own face mask if preferred.
